Fabuliss Helps Tiffany Prep for an Interview…Plus Ideas for Rounds 2 & 3

Posted | 3 comments

Yesterday I helped client Tiffany with an Interview Prep package.  She did some pre-shopping online and had a list of stores and items she wanted to try on.

It turns out that we were able to get her a beautiful outfit for Round 1 at Anthropologie with a mix of full-price and clearance items.

Using the items she purchased (denoted with a *), along with additional pieces I’ve selected to complete and accessorize the looks, here are looks for three rounds of interviews.

Round 1

Round 1 Interview OutfitThe asymmetrical linen/cotton jacket, silky teal blouse and mocha chambray bootcut pant outfit looks stunning on Tiffany.  It’s sophisticated, elegant and an outfit that will be appropriate for client meetings, work parties and more over the summer.

I have paired this look with accessories, all of which will work for rounds 1, 2 and 3:

Note: the blouse is not available online; we found it on the clearance rack at Arbor Lakes.  The photo above is courtesy of Anthroholic’s blog.

Round 2

Round 2 Interview OutfitWhen the call-back comes, which it surely will because of the way you carried yourself in Round 1, here is a look for Round 2.

The navy and blues ruffled knit top will provide interest while peeking out from under a dressy ivory cardigan.  Pair it with pants or a skirt in olive (as shown), grey or tan for subtle contrast.

This is a slightly more casual look than Round 1.  In the event you need to dress this look up, you could replace the cardigan with a jacket and/or select bottoms in a crepe wool or sateen cotton.

Round 3

Round 3 Interview OutfitOf course you got called in to the third (and hopefully FINAL) round…here’s your chance to close the deal.

Reuse the same pants from Round 1, which have amazing button and tie details.  Pair it with a printed silky shell and a colorful cardigan that picks up one of the colors in the top.

A fitted navy/denim jacket would work to dress this look up.
