Yesterday I helped client Tiffany with an Interview Prep package. She did some pre-shopping online and had a list of stores and items she wanted to try on.
It turns out that we were able to get her a beautiful outfit for Round 1 at Anthropologie with a mix of full-price and clearance items.
Using the items she purchased (denoted with a *), along with additional pieces I’ve selected to complete and accessorize the looks, here are looks for three rounds of interviews.
The asymmetrical linen/cotton jacket, silky teal blouse and mocha chambray bootcut pant outfit looks stunning on Tiffany. It’s sophisticated, elegant and an outfit that will be appropriate for client meetings, work parties and more over the summer.
I have paired this look with accessories, all of which will work for rounds 1, 2 and 3:
- The Strawberry Cheesecake necklace made of delicious acrylic beads is a reserved pop of color.
- This feminine pump in an orange leather tan will provide a similar pop of color that peeks out from under the pant hemline.
- And a buttery carry-all tote with a floral spin coordinates perfectly with this color scheme.
Note: the blouse is not available online; we found it on the clearance rack at Arbor Lakes. The photo above is courtesy of Anthroholic’s blog.
This is a slightly more casual look than Round 1. In the event you need to dress this look up, you could replace the cardigan with a jacket and/or select bottoms in a crepe wool or sateen cotton.
A fitted navy/denim jacket would work to dress this look up.
