Joan Steffend's debut book "...and she sparkled"

Have you heard? Joan Steffend is now an author!

I know of Joan through her work at KARE 11. I have talked to Joan, from a distance, via my appearance on her My Talk 107.1 show, Get Real Girls. And yesterday, I got to meet Joan in person at the Northwest Community Television station, where she taped a segment of In Our Town with host Elaine Hall.

First of all, if you have never met or talked to Joan, she is incredibly down to earth and she looks amazing (especially in the powder blue jacket she was wearing!).

Second, I was impressed with how gracious she was with everyone behind the scenes.

And last, but not least, I was fascinated when I heard her read her debut book …and she sparkled during her taping with Elaine.

Joan wrote the book several years ago, not intending to write a book. The end product is a story that resonates with me – especially after hearing Joan’s story behind the book.

I’m not going to spoil it for you, but let’s just say that doing what’s right for everyone else is not always what’s right for you.

My copy of Joan's book

I intend to gift this book (but not my copy!) because it is one that I believe so many people will be able to relate to. It’s a story that will validate and motivate people at any age who are on the road to finding out what will make them feel happy and fulfilled.
